The Chase, Fleming Slough

Three Mallard drakes in hot pursuit of a female over Fleming Slough in Red Deer County, Alberta. The slough was alive with ducks and shore birds and it was great fun attempting to capture a nice image of the birds in flight. Seems easy when you think about it, but in this case I was handholding and manually focusing the equivalent of a 1000mm lens. The days successes amounted to pretty much this image by itself!
